Buckets of Lava!

  Personally, buckets of lava are very good fuel. I mean, yeah, they could be used for griefing, but perhaps, if you could gather lava but not place them, like TNT, then you could have very efficient fuel while still staying safe. Btw, can fire still spread on the server?

Fire cannot spread. Personally, I agree with lava as fuel. Whenv1.3 comes out, now you won't loose the bucket. Anyways, lava is a great smelting fuel, as it last for I think 64 ores/meat, etc

I'd have to agree and support this suggestion.  If you could allow Lava buckets as a fuel source (furnaces, etc) while still blocking it from being placed by a player, that would be a good thing.

I'd love to see lava as a fuel, fully supported! Hope to see that this idea at least gets a little attention. I ate mining coal.

As of the 1.3 update, dispensers will be able to throw source blocks of water/lava infront of them if there are buckets in them.

Oh my, I have only just realised about the water/lava placement. That is not good at all. Optical is going to have to design a piece of code that stops non-Trusted from even making a water bucket (Getting water into a bucket) and non-Moderators from getting lava buckets (Getting lava into a bucket). Perhaps add some More permission nodes accompanied with the Opticraft plugin.

I think this is too hard to make. And Opticalza is already very busy with the New Member+ world. It is a very good idea but it is not the right time for this.
