New Rank- Senior Trusted

I would like to propose the idea of a new rank, Senior Trusted. This rank would be the same as trusted, except they can place fire and lava. Lava could be placed using buckets, and fire with flint and steel, or fire charges. The rank would be hand chosen by Admins, no application. If you would like to change anything about this, please do, this is just an idea.

This is a nice idea, but I don't think this is necessary. Lava & Fire are not demanded as frequently as water is. If you've been on long enough, people will know you're a senior player. I could only imagine Lava and Fire being used for decorative purposes or as a trash can. Even as a trash can, cactus is a better means for a disposal. Again, nice idea not really needed.

Technically arn't we all normal players? No one is better than another. Some just have extra abilities or "power". Just because we have extra power doen't mean we're "better".

But anyway. I think that giving the power of lava placement isn't nessesary, as its not asked for that offen. But i would like to have the ability to use flit and steel so i could light my own portal

Another ability for a Senior trusted (or the only additional ability over trusted) could be access to water blocks. It could work similar to Classic where you use a /water command. I've had many creations where this would come in handy so that I wouldn't have to bother a Mod or Op.

I believe there is no need to implement this new rank, we already have enough Moderators as is and don't want it to be replaced by people with that rank. It basically just makes Moderators seem kind of useless except they could teleport and roll back grief and most Trusted players would seem to expect this rank, having them inherit these abilities is pretty stupid, it's just like Admins trialing an application all over again, but decided in game.

We don't want to make it some lost server, keep the ranks slim and sleek.

I agree with chip. Sometimes mods have a lot of stuff to do and they do not want to be bothered with Fire, Lava, and Water. These people, could get /helpop tickets that are in regards to fire, lava, and water. Plus these people can use /tpa so they can help the people just by sending teleport requests! The titles can look something like this

Wow my eyes are burning. Again this isn't needed, it is why we have Moderators.

They shouldn't really, as a moderator it is their job to moderate the server and deal with those source placements and grief, if they have a problem with not helping people, then that is an issue. If they can't be bothered with source placements and what not, then I wonder why they would apply in the first place.
