Ok, so alot of us have had this problem with people randomly voting for us when we dont want it. I know that this morning that someone voted for alot of people including me and that person really screwed with my schedule to get top voter. Please consider this

A password would be a good addition to the voting system

Not only is this a good idea for the times to vote, but we only get one vote per IP. So we will be losing votes because people do this.

Not only is this a good idea for the times to vote, but we only get one vote per IP. So we will be losing votes because people do this.

When Drunz asks me to vote for him I use a proxy when I vote for him, but not everyone does that.

The only problem with being logged in is we may lose the guest votes if they are too lazy to sign up.

I actually think having to be logged in to vote would be a good thing.  I think, Nyssa, that there would be a way to check the actual users online (not just registered ones) for validating.  Personally I don't mind if people vote for me, as long as they are ACTUALLY VOTING!

I am 100% against clicking a vote button and not following through with the actual vote.  Optical does a TON for this server, and I think it only right that the server is given the recognition it deserves.

Adding a password to vote would deter users. Also, we have no real authentication between minecraft and forum right now, so it would require a bit of work to get done, which is not worth it right now.

Make it such as registered players can only vote when online, that means if I key in my name to vote, I must be online to Beatle to vote, where else a player who did not register eg randomguy122 tries to vote for himself, he will be able to vote, but he won't be able to vote for registered users and Mess their time up.

The way I see it, if someone votes for you it's a win win. Someone votes for you and you still get the diamonds.
Plus you can still actually vote for the server again, just not via the vote page.
