Not really, it doesn't give one person more of an advantage over another. Texture packs are avalable to everyone. A texture pack vs default is like choosing to make a house out of wool rather than cobble. Why limit yourself?

Plus, the judge(s), whoever they may be, would take that into consideration.

what about the fact that everyone's dipping into different pools of blocks so there's no standard to base a decision off of? or the fact that not everyone knows the coolest texture pack, nor is everyone's idea of the coolest texture pack the same and that creates a large bias for the texture pack they prefer over the rest.... to be fair for everyone and truly put us all on equal ground we'd have to build with the same texture pack.

And there is no one coolest texture pack, your right, one texture pack could be cool to one person and awful to another, but as long as there's not just one or two judges there shouldn't be any bias towards them, like I said, the judges would take the texture pack into consideration.

I'm not going to be installing a bunch of texture packs just to judge builds. They will all be judged using the default one.

all you need to know is //brush, //set and //replace

Not to mention theres a list of commands in game by doing //we help, typing in any command tells you how to use it and there's a detailed list of all the commands + the uses on the world edit wiki

Oh and there's no super command that let's me magically build a sculpture in 30secs

for non-symmetrical organic statues it pretty much only helps with coloring, which is moronically simple to do

It would take maybe 2hrs to Learn the majority of it and itd save everyone a month of work

Given that the comp only last 2 weeks I'd rather not hear a bunch of excuses as to y builds aren't finished

Hell maybe nick can have a learning day before the comp starts and ill run everyone through world edit basics

I think there are too many things that can go wrong with everyone using world edit :/
