Desktop GPU Help
« on: March 15, 2014, 08:27:13 am »
So I'm using NVIDIA GeForce Experience and one of the requirements I need to have is a GeForce GTX Desktop GPU, 600 series or higher.  I was thinking of an upgrade anyway, so basically I'm wondering which one out of these http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus is worth getting that is over the 600, and if it is worth getting the GeForce GTX TITAN Black.

My current PC specs are:

Processor:                        Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3470 CPU @ 3.20GHz 3.20GHz
Installed Memory (RAM):    8.00 GB
System Type:                   64-bit Operating System
Current Resolution:           1920 x 1080, 60Hz
Driver Version:                  331.65
Operating System:             Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium

Do not waste your money on a titan. Get a 780. If you're not planning on 4k resolutions then you should be fine

A 760 or 770 will be more than fine for that. No need to get a Titan Black at all. If you're upgrading your current computer, take the power supply into account.

For your build I'd recommend a 770.

A titan is a waste of money, it barely out performs the 780ti and costs $300 more. Go for a regular gtx 780 (not the ti version)

My question is, how do you have that much money to spend on a gpu? lol
