What I wanna know is... WHY do gold tools have so little usage? Is it that soft of material?? ???

Also, some people like to mine for redstone as well (it's important for some items)

I am considering going to the Mineshaft I saw. I will have to pillar back up, but I stay on Peaceful and the fall didn't kill me last time. See you in a few hours! But I will have to wait for the storm to pass...
