Minecraft [1.8 Snapshots]

Hi all,

Here is a list of all the current snapshots of version 1.8 of Minecraft! We hope to keep the list updated.

Snapshot Name Format: YYwWWx: YY = year, WW = week of the year
'w' preceeds the week number
'x' is a variable representing the number of snapshots in a week: a, b, etc.

This thread is NOT where we pour all of our arguments in. There is a forum for that.

Nobody here is forcing us to play the game in a particular way. If you want to play it vanilla style, that's fine. If you want to replace the new sounds with the old or change the music, that's fine too. If you don't like any of the new features and just want to play the older versions, by all means, do that. There is no right or wrong way to play Minecraft.

Well, that went fast. Lots of snapshots between last Thursday and today.

13w47a was released, featuring Twitch.tv livestreaming straight from the game! It is now 13w48b, which showcases a multitude of bugfixes and other shenanigans!

Who gives a hoo about the iron and gold farms.  I'm glad they weren't the only one tired of those ugly farms.  And not updating to 1.8 because of that is silly because you're going to end up doing it anyway.

I've been updating to the snapshots, however, the latest one appears to drop my fps from 50 to 20 in my SSP world. Odd
