Some other names were off to the right, blocked by buildings and whatnot.

Apparently it never went down. You just need to click resume on WoM, assuming it was your last connected server.
I think Minecraft classic server lists are extremely bugged now, some servers for example are showing hundreds of players online, when there's really none.

I'll try finding a more efficient way of joining the classic server.
