I have toured many homes lately and I thought that opticraft could have a parade of homes, showcasing the best houses in the server. We could award prizes for best home, biggest home, and most complicated home. Heres how this works; a judge(s)
(approved staff member) would come to your house and the owner(s) will give a brief tour of the house and the judge(s) will move on to the next home assigned by a placement number as they do in other home parades.
prizes for this could be a title called Architect, ingame money, and/or various rare and priceless items.
by the way (s) means could be more than one

yeah I think me goalie, and salsa can do this and i was also thinking if we could build the course in a major opticraft city
(we may have to make a seperate poll for this)
there could also be a point system where if a person finishes first they get 10 second gets 6 and third gets 3

Thanks for the interest Beta! I'm asking around $20k for the upper class homes. But things have been pretty crazy for me lately, so I'm not sure when I'll be online next. Not only has my new job been keeping me busy, but I had a fire at my house on Wednesday, so at the moment I'm homeless...
So all my time not spent working (big conference this weekend too!) is being spent looking for apartments.
ok first of all i'm very sorry for what happened to you and secondly it might take me a few weeks to raise that much money for the home

ok i know many of us opticraftians who have been loyal to the server were bestowed upon with orange powers and the only things that come with the promotion are placing water and color coding signs. Don't get me wrong being trusted is awesome and i'm not complaing(contridictory statement) but those things is just a too little reward for your hardwork. So i have ideas for a few more perks for trusted; /warp tlounge a lounge where trusteds get together and get better deals on rare items, next /tshop a virtual shop where items can be put on sale in server cyberspace and can be bought trusteds can put stuff on sale without using the trade channel by this i mean that everyon else can buy stuff from it its just that trusteds can only put stuff on sale, and finally /powerfist [enchantment name] basically when you punch someone or something its just like an enchanted sword except it doesn't do as much damage(a useful /powerfist enchant would be knockback because if you're fighting a creeper and have no weaponry you can get some distance from it).

i was thinking (this is just an idea not a real event) that opticraft should hold a triathalon that showcases the most skilled players on the server ( by that i mean whoever is the best keyboard user) it consists of 3 events: first parkour, next spleef, and for the grand finale all contestents shall climb a tall tower and whoever gets to the top first and claims the specifically distinguished block at the top wins. Prizes will probably be a large sum of money and a few items such as enchanted armor and weaponry.
remember this is just an idea not a real event
if the staff thinks that this should be moved to suggestions feel free to do so

Just make a plugin that looks at the number of ores compared to other blocks destroyed by a user. The ratios of the number of each ore compared to the total number of mined blocks can be set to be slightly higher than what a user could possibly mine legitimately (such as with strip mining).
Only users who use xray could possibly get a high enough ratio of ores to number of mined blocks. This trips the plugin sending a helpop request for a mod+ to monitor the player who is mining.
Possible idea???

Ok its great that your town is now fully populated but its been over a week and the town has a few small houses and when you walk further the majority of your town is covered in wide open gigantic spaces that haven't even been touched by the recipients and it has already been a week and a half already and there has been no sign of construction on those plots. You guys have really got to make a stricter resident policy when it comes to being active.
Hoping that this issue will get resolved

I have seen a lot of guests xray/mod in the past and I thought that opticraft should have a plugin that detects if a user is modding automatically. This will make it much easier to see who is using hacks and it will allow a constantlty regenerated resource world to be installed without fear of x-rayers getting resources quick.
Heres the problem I have no idea where to find such plugin

And also back on topic, some of our residents already have bases elsewhere(well i assume they do anyways), and it takes a long time to move, but gradually, our town will be more active.
