I believe once the MC Map plugin developers release the next update depending on if the developers fix the problem it should transfer over with our plugin updates as well and function properly. There's no telling how long it will take, but I wouldn't imagine more than 1 month or so.
It all depends really.

There could be a number of reasons why now it's sending the message to everyone. It's not a big deal, I simply wanted to bring it to staffs attention.

Hey! It looks like you're eligible to Vote.
I've been receiving the notification spam even though I have already voted and can not vote again on the website. Perhaps something in the plugin got tweaked or there is a work-around for this?
I usually vote to support the server, but also to avoid this spam. =)
I confirmed that everyone is experiencing this problem.

Since this was re-bumped I'll put my two cents in.
I do not think there should be a creative server on opticraft SMP. I think many people including myself would be dissapointed for various reasons.
There's a special feeling working on large projects, managing your item resources and completing something where as someone else would be able to just enter creative mode on a different world and do everything easily. I think it takes away from the gratification of building on a "Survival Server". I'm not against creative, but I like to think everyone is building under the same boundries.
Also.. we have a fully functional market. Spend a few days, earn some money and utilize it.

Also, Nick has already responded in the past about this and made it pretty clear that Optical isn't interested and that's the first step to even possibly ever making this happen.
*A suggestion if you really must show off creative mode builds.. just build on single player, save the world and share it with whoever.

I mean you could just do it and not say anything. No way for anyone to find out, right? Unless you're smart enough to take screenshots and post em.
there are ways to check if someone is using mods, if I am not mistaken* Let's not divert from the point of this post please. The suggestion is to make them allowed, not whether or not we can bypass rules.

Shaders are only not allowed because there are many mods and making changes to the rules by allowing an additional mod would make people want to look at other mods and try to justify them as well. It's basically to keep the rule "no mods" as simple as possible. (I can confirm this)
With that said, shaders are always requested in any server and I think it goes with opti fine nicely. Is there one shaders mod that everyone can use or are there many different versions of these types of mods? I wouldn't use shaders myself but I support this thread due to high player demand for a single mod that doesn't give any play advantage.

It's most likely a bug with the plugin conflicting with the new minecraft version. I'm sure the plugin developers will update it in the future and resolve the issue. Until then probably just ignore it xD

Everyone stay calm, and for anyone who doesn't know what a DDos attack is. Basically someone is using a program to send large data packets to the server. It causes it to lag out and crash. Your accounts are not at risk, it's a novice level hack but does cause servers to restart.
Thanks Optical for looking into a solution to protect us in the future.
