i mentioned my hearing issue because if i was expected to go on mumble to earn a trusted rank, it's not going to happen, i can't just work with a therapist to overcome that particular limitation
you made it in to a 'i'm a poor little cripple' statement to pump up your own self worth
i am not devaluing what you have done, i admire you for it

Thanks FNV. I am latent deaf and did not grow up with deaf culture. It is sometime frustrating when I am asked to do something that involves perfect hearing. But, I know I should not, just something I've got to learn to accept.

I don't know if you can see my history, but I've been on the server since the first month. I got banned for stealing glowstone the first day, but followed the rules since then.
I only posted once before this about being trusted and have NEVER asked any mods in game. In fact I never see a mod cause I hide far away from griefers.
Anyway, I'm not here to plead my case, I'm just here to make a point and put an end to any chance of becoming trusted. I don't need it to enjoy myself, but I think the whole policy is an ego feed for the mods and it makes me sick.

You know what, don't ever trust me.
I like this server a lot. I am not leaving any time soon.
But you know what? Placing water and lighting stuff on fire isn't worth playing some childish political game. 'Don't ask to be trusted.' What a bunch of hogwash! How do I become trusted? We're not going to tell, but don't ask.
I gather that I should somehow kiss up to mods or get on mumble. #1 I don't kiss up to anyone in real life, why should I do that here? and #2, I am deaf so this mumble thing would be pointless.
So I have resolved that I will never place water or light stuff on fire, fine. I just ignore that part of the game, it's worth it to avoid playing politics with a bunch of Minecraft divas.

Do mods use any other text based chat apps?
Someday I would like to be trusted so I can replace the naturally occurring waterfall that was under my house until the griefers plugged it.

I have a home with protection stone.
Somehow I have trap door that is locked in my home:
332 East x 456 south x 103 up
I don't need the trap door and never bothered to lock it, guess that is why somebody was able to lock it themselves.

it is not hard
use sheers (made by placing two iron bars diagonally in workbench) to harvest leaves from existing trees. collect a bunch of wood
build em like you would anything else, they can be as big as you like. they will also get griefed, so I put protection blocks in the middle of a 3x3 trunk

Thanks! It looks better, I need to finish the interior, so I can fix the rest of it while I do that.
I had been mining up a storm to pay or protection stones, cause I need at least 10 coal, so that is $15,000. By the time I had a couple gold blocks, the thing was a mess and I gave up. I just hope I can get that amount mined before the griefers tear it all down again.

I got banned when I first started on this server because I stole a bunch of glow stones.
Once I got back on, I was under the impression that I could build and if someone griefed me, I could contact a mod, get the grief rolled back and everything is good.
I spent a LOT of time building a starship, probably close to 30 hours. Over the course of two weeks it became a ruin. The mods where way too busy to roll it back. When a mod finally came to help, I needed to point everything out. The nose of the ship was near level 128, so I couldn't point out every damaged area. The mod eventually told me "BRB" and never came right back.
I think the mods spend so much time fixing grief they don't even want to take on such a massive, griefed structure.
So, I let the starship go and it is just a pile of blocks now, no one knows what it was. Kind of sad, I don't have the motivation to build anything because no matter where it is, it gets torn apart. Trying to report grief is a pain because the mods are too busy. So the players that grief me get away with it now.
The mods should have a way to roll back a certain area easily. I don't know the technical details, but something like that would have helped me and my starship.
