While I was thinking of this post, I found the ultimate way to amke 3x3 door with only 3 sticky pistons!!!

Can you figure it out?

Out can't use ANY sticky pistons...

But tell me anyway

A simple 1x2 door:  where []-| is a piston (non sticky variety)

[]-|{block}Opening|-[]
[]-|{block}Opening|-[]

1) Activate pistons on the left with a button to move blocks right to seal the opening
2) Activate pistons on right with button to move blocks left to clear the opening.

It's not large or elegant... but it's functional.

i can tell you now that we've found mobs and entities to be the main cause of a low tickrate. having a large amount of stuff really slows down the server. mob farms, chicken farms, experience orbs, pretty much everything. opti has theorized that the server-side collision detection algorithms may be spazzing out when it comes to lots of mobs in a small area - potentially causing the lag. he'll work something in to throttle the number of mobs that can be in a certain area- maybe it will help out with the lag.

This is what happens when we build too many mob/ xp farms and grinders-- we have caused the server to go berserk, and this has caused the mob numbers to go down so much that you might not even encounter 1 mob for quite a while

Here is a short list with a few things I think should be added to the market;
slimeballs (people are ALWAYS asking on chat and no one has them)
pistons and sticky pistons (this seems like a must have all round)
redstone repeaters
And there is probably more but cbb right now, please comment on your views for the stuff I said or suggest something else to be added?
I just think the market needs to be expanded a bit as it only has a few things out of the kajillion minecraft items <3

Slimeballs:  They are rare, that's why you don't get many people selling them.  I, myself, have 18 of them.  Slimes aren't impossible to find, but do require effort and knowledge.  Go into a Slime fight with the right weapons to yield the highest slimeball drops (yes different weapons change your drop chance).

Pistons:  Really?  These are so easy to make.  I made over 50 of them in the span of a week without even trying.  The materials are available on the market if you can't be bothered to mine.

Sticky Pistons:  See both answers above.

Redstone Repeaters:  Don't be lazy, these aren't that hard to make either.  Stone, sticks, & redstone is all you need.  As with pistons, if you can't be bothered to mine all of the components are on the market already.

I'm with Viper on this one - mostly...   Things that are easy to make, just make them (pistons, redstone repeaters).  Slimeballs on the other hand...   Until the spawning situation is fixed, I seem to be out of luck.  Having some in market that are highly priced would be helpful so building can continue but people can't stockpile them.

But without them, i can still get by - just not as much fun.
