Book and Quill - Version 1.3 Update

Hey Guys,

As some of you may as well know, Update 1.3 is on the horizion and ready to play some time next month. Like some people I am very excited for it coming our way with new Blocks and Items rearing to expand our imagination as far as it can take us! And I feel as if Opticraft could take an opportunity from one of the new items releasing in this Update...

The 'Book and Quill' is new item which some people have been anticipating for quite a while (ever since Books were released in Aplha 1.0.11). It enables the user to write up whatever they want to in any format (Italics, Bold, Coloured and Underlined) they wish before signing it with a Title and signature from the User who created it...The Book has 13 lines per page (along with 256 characters per page) and a maximum of 50 pages in the Book.

Now Opticraft has many new Users coming into the Server frequently, and have the option to read the Rules and Regulations at the Spawn Point. The only other way to view the rules out of spawn is the /rules command. However this can be difficult to be read when so many Users are online and posting frequently in the Chat bar. If Books were to be implemented on the Server they could act as a way to breif the new Users on the Rules, Regulations, Commands and Ranks about the Server.

The background theory of this is simple! When a new User connects to Opticraft they are given the basic wooden tools to get themselves ready in the Server and set them off on a creative journey. If the book was given to them upon Spawning they could open it and study what the Server has to offer (You could even include the opportunity to Sign Up to the Forum and Vote for Diamonds!). And if the User where to die they could repurchase the Book at the market for a cheap price so poor Users can afford to pay for it...

Now this is just a suggestion and I wouldn't know if it would be too difficult to programme but I think it would bring a massive advantage to the Server and may even result in less greif as people can resist to look inside a Book...

Why not have a book with all the rules and stuff in it when you spawn, and you can get a new one free by typing /rules?
It saves having the spawn messed up by signs.

Nope, a book with writing is a book and quill, a normal book is not. You can't make librarys out of these books sorry.

Is there ANY way they could be profitable to me in some way?

Because we have one world we have one /home bhoughton
In the new world will players be given access to a second /home bhoughton or /home bhoughton2 (i don't know =P)?

What they NEED to add after these books, is shelves where you can put the Written Books in... Library here I come!
