communication
« on: June 11, 2012, 06:55:18 pm »
Yesterday me and jowee20 bought a house from somebody.
Then we destroyed it and this person called a mod. Scotty came and said that we had the full right to destroy this house!
The next day i try to get on the server. "The ban hammer has spoken."
Then i saw that viper banned me because we destroyed that house. This makes me very mad.
I think the comunication should be better. Now i cant play for a entire day, because viper isn't online.
Hopefully this wont happen in the future.
Tnx for reading.

Was this intended to be a ban appeal? If so, this should be moved to the ban appeal section. I'm not an SMP mod/op so it's not my call.

When a Mod is called to the site of a griefing incident, and just to be clear it WAS a griefing incident, we have 2 responsibilities.  First, repair the grief.  Second, determine who performed the griefing and ban them.  We don't go hunting down the griefer to ask for their side of the story.  That's what a ban appeal is for.

The world doesn't come to an end just because you can't play for a day.  Everyone (Mod's and Op's) involved in this believes that my course of action was correct, even though the whole situation turned out to be a big mess caused by a single player.  That said, the issue is now resolved and the case is closed.  I'm locking this topic.
