I accidentally touched the spinning blade of an electric leaf blower while it was running. This was during the testing of a hovercraft in my engineering class (the finished design did in fact win 1st place, and I was the designer, and driver of the hovercraft), and the hovercraft skirt underneath was originally pinned down. The middle came undone not allowing air to flow out from underneath which consequently almost made the wooden platform snap in half as the bottom skirt filled up like a high pressure balloon. I yelled at my friend to turn off the blower but he didn't hear me so I hopped over there and grabbed the leaf blower (which had no guard on it), and my thumb went into the leaf blower and got hit by the spinning blade.

I'm so tough I still turned the leaf blower off with the same hand which had it's thumb skinned. THEN instead of going straight to the clinic I had my friend take a picture with his iphone. Truth is I didn't even feel it, and I was even gonna try to keep working on the hovercraft until my engineering teacher forced me to go to the clinic. There's an almost unnoticeable scar on the tip of my thumb, and sadly I can't find the picture that my friend took. It was a good shot to! Showed how I pretty much lost all the skin off the tip of my right thumb.
