Move him. Just pick him up and move him to the side, that's what I do when my dog is in the way.

Edit: I forgot you can't really lift yet because you had surgery. Get someone else to move him. :)

I couldnt move him, he looked too adorable. Also if you try moving him when he is tired he will growl and bite.

I've never been able to catch my chickens sleeping. I wonder why. Even at night when I'm coming home, I still find her awake
