I play with the threat that a player could stumble onto my home and steal my goods/loot. It makes the game more of a roleplay, and I find this aspect to be one of the best.

I was pointing to the fact that the common sense rule is arbitrary, i.e. "because I said so." A tip for future appeals, use examples that are pertinent to the situation. Don't bring up duplicating when it's not relevant.
