"Forum Games" child board

make a whole Games section on the forums 

Not an entirely bad idea

        -ect.

        -ect.

I could see a use but that would be for a whole different suggestion xD

But then we'd end up with the same problem as the current offtopic board, the forum would be crammed with different genres and popular threads would constantly be bumped.

I don't think the whole console games thing is necessary. I rarely ever see threads about other video games, and offtopic is the perfect home for them. I still agree with one forum games subforum under offtopic.

Well that is a whole other discussion.
But this Forum Games subboard is unnecessary imo. It's off topic of other dedicated boards; even if it does contribute to discussion, the "discussion" is just random jesting or useless comments.

But wouldn't it be the same as the 'Trade Central' and 'User Events' being child boards of the General Discussion board? Both those boards were made because we started to see 2 different topics forming in the 1 board (people selling items and people creating events) therefor 2 new boards were created to filter this.

I'm seeing the same thing happen with the Offtopic board, I'm seeing a new topic, that topic being these 'forum games'.

I agree, forum games usually only require a few words, making easy for them to be bumped up and other topics disappearing to page 2. Also this might be good to give more attention to forum games. To me this seems like a win win. And to anyone who says "we don't need it right now" are we going to wait till it becomes a problem or do it now?

I would like to bump this again I do not belive this got as much of a recognition as it should.

A new Child Board with just the Forum Games would be a useful idea. The problem with the forum games flooding the offtopic section has gotten worse in my opinion, and I can provide a few good examples; one of those examples being my own topic, which was pushed to the 3rd page after about 2 days by new forum games and all of the popular forum games constantly being bumped over and over....; also many non-server related support topics have ben pushed to the 3rd 4th and 5th pages, and have ever so been forgotten.

C'mon everyone, hear this idea out! This is one of the best suggestions I have seen for quite some time.
