ice is cool, and ive already started to use it on some of my builds

I am going to agree with devzer0 on some of his points. I have used ice for some of my projects, and there should be some sort of way to place it like snape said maybe trusted+ should be enabled to use it.

very much agreed

Not a good idea. Using a bucket of water is so much easier that using ice anyway. We should just keep the rules constant, and not change them for an individua'ls problem.

I think maybe we could place it, but when we break it, nothing happens. No water, no mess.

Thats what i said, im sure they could make that work so that we could use the block but not use it for water.

But, ice stacks, ice can be used as a building material, and for effect (Ice under halfslabs)

ALSO: I reccomend not allowing ice to melt

How about there would be a command of which if someone breaks ice, water can be toggled on or off, I realize this might be hard to code, but it will be very usefull

Ice naturally melting is easily controlled by a WorldGuard configuration node, but keeping ice from forming into water, by breaking it, is not so easy.

Ice can be useful as a decorative block, mainly for 'glossy' windows, but ice isn't a common/ general building material.

Xeadin, the other day I broke quite a few placed ice blocks. They did not leave a water source after they were destroyed.

Were they up in the air? Ice blocks will only leave water if they're on the ground.

You will be able to use silktouch on ice soon, this was an unintended side-effect.
