Minecraft-wide server bash?

what if, we got all of the semi-popular servers together, and had a league where 2 servers go at a PvP war with eachother (no respawns) and we have a good time seeing all of Opti as a team?
When you joined the server, you would be directed to your teams/servers base. The servers could be rented for a day (IDK) and the cost split between the 2.

Well, I'm working on a cool plugin which would be a really cool pvp arena plugin. Think about combining Hunger Games with Harry Potter 4, and at least four other arena battle-based movies. I have the idea, hopefully I can make the plugin XD

Sounds like a lot of trouble for 2 server owners and who know what would happen. Then one server would just get a bunch of crap from the other about losing. Just sounds like a bad idea to me.

It sounds like an idea that would be AMAZING! but again it sounds almost impossible, but I honestly have no idea, it would give ALOT of publicity to our server probably.

Most of us play on smp for a reason, because it's not pvp... :L. Therefore most of us aren't used to pvp
