It's kind of obvious what you did wrong when you look at your ban.

"griefing johekls nether portal (and other blocks) 20 blocks".

Modifying/Breaking/Destroying/Claiming something that has been built by another player is considered griefing and you, as well as the next person knows that griefing is against server rules and carries just one punishment. If that warrants you searching for "a new better server..." then I wish you luck with your endeavours.
