Aussie WARNINGS
« on: January 07, 2013, 10:47:44 am »
G'day

Now I know not everyone on here is an aussie, in fact very few of us would be. Just a warning to my fellow aussie's with the situation tomorrow. Bushfires are raging around the country alot of them are in grasslands too meaning in 10minutes the fire can travel more than 10km. Have an evac plan and keep properties and animals safe.

Also be aware of the heat tomorrow reaching around mid 40's. This will intensify fires dramatically.

Keep a look on http://www.rfs.nsw.gov.au/dsp_content.cfm?CAT_ID=683 to know where the fires are in nsw or type rfs and your state to keep a look out. Good luck and i hope all works out.

All jokes aside =p It's been so hot, these times suck for fires.

Usually dirt pits can help stop fires, as usually they aren't fire producing, and mostly what I would do, is layer fresh dirt all around my house. But sorry to hear that fires are going on there.  :-[

For that to be effective, you would have to own a LOT of property.
