Trusted Made Easy?

Why dont ops just ask a few questions about plugins and rules, then if the person answers them correctly(after they have proved they are already trusted material) THEN they get the rank.

Then they can just Copy/Paste the answers and act like they give a hoot, then we're right back where we started.

OR they ask a few questions they think of on the spot.

Bad idea, simply because they have knowledge about the server doesn't mean they are trusted.

If you trust a player it doesn't have to mean he should know about the server. For all we care it could be a member which the only thing he knows is mining. The point of trusted is that we TRUST that the player won't do any harm to the server, not that we trust the player to have some background knowledge on the server and its plugins.

I just want to point out. That Some people get trusted faster then others because the Help people, Be kind, Are active.

And If the ops notice and give them there trust that is that. Nothing we can do. and Honestly There can never be enough trusted players =)

EDIT: also some players are Builders, Crafters, and Ops on the Classic server. So that would make it easier.

i simply believe that trusted should not be handed out without knowing even the basics of opticraft, and no, i am not saying this to better my standings, i just think that being griefed with water sucks

If you get griefed by water then the person whom had placed it would be banned.

i calculated that more trusted lowers the chance of becoming mod when the apps are open

i thinks you guys want less trusteds for more chance

I'm sure if I was an Admin, I wouldn't want to limit myself in choices of who I put in charge. Not every trusted player is prepared. Some are little kids too, but they can follow the rules and help out, that's why they're trusted in the first place. More trusted, more possibility of better moderators!

IMO, if I was to select Trusted, quite frankly I wouldn't care what they have done so far, so long as they have been here for a while, started to get dedicated, have not caused problems, follow the rules, and I know they will keep following the rules.

As trusted I feel that its not really an overpowering rank. I mean being able to use buckets of water and lava doesn't really make you better than the rest... (not that I"m stating that you said that) But its more like a feeling you are saying "Trusted, there can only be few" and thus made a post about it.

I'd like to say that I felt like this once, but I got over it once an idea popped into my head...

"Hey, I'm an excellent player who loves the server, knows most things about it, and is willing to help out a little bit more, so I'm gonna go out for moderator. I know all this about me is true, so the competition shouldn't matter. "

Those weren't my exact thoughts but u get my point .

Plus, I bet the reason you feel this way about your fellow trusted is because you don't know all of them.
I didn't know any of the new mods when apps were accepted and close, and hated the fact that there were new staff, but now they're my friends .

to be honest i sorta *lucked out* on becoming trusted in my first week or so Because Of my dedication to the sever By Being on the fourms since i think July, And playing classic alot & smp when i got premime

No one said anything about tp'ing or flying, the lava was a simple mistake....
