New Subforum Idea

So I have noticed the General Discussion forums on both Classic and SMP with the occasional Offtopic forums have been cluttered by leaving/returning notices. I don't see a particular problem with them but I think if there was a possible renaming of the "Introductions" to Member Announcements or something of that likeness.

A possible description could be like "If you are a new user introduce yourself here. Also you can post here if you have something relevant about you to share with the community." It seems like a better place than having these types of posts which aren't really a discussion more of an announcement.

Make a subforum (leaves) for that and move it up so people can see it, but don't get rid of it! That board has nostalgia written all over it. <3

Anyway.. I can see where you're going with that idea considering the small amount of leaves we have here and then. Nothing to argue against this idea, if this goes through, possibility of disabling post counts would be great.

I recognize there is an introduction forum I even mentioned it in the original post. I however wish for there to be a subform where people can place going away notices instead of clogging up the general discussion forums.

I'd like to know of a time when off topic wasnt just about forum games.

And general discussion didn't have all those leave notices.

Personally I'd like this idea and the forum games sub forum approved.

I like this. GD has recently been fluttered.
While it might be sad, well also get memories from it.

We discussed this in staff, we're just going to let them post leaves in general, but we will just lock them since it is just a notification they are leaving, and not a discussion.
