Also, I would like to use Gauss's law for Earth.g=(2*pi*G)pH9.81=(2*3.141592654*6.67e-11)p*63781009.81=0.002672988pp=3670.05 kg/m3p=36700.5 g/cm3By this calculation, the Earth is, on average, 1,902.566 times as dense as gold. Obviously something is wrong here.
...Once again... what are you doing?QuoteAlso, I would like to use Gauss's law for Earth.g=(2*pi*G)pH9.81=(2*3.141592654*6.67e-11)p*63781009.81=0.002672988pp=3670.05 kg/m3p=36700.5 g/cm3By this calculation, the Earth is, on average, 1,902.566 times as dense as gold. Obviously something is wrong here. This equation only works with an infinite planar region... like ME. The Earth is not an infinite plane, so this would not apply in the way that you tried. You can't just pick random equations and use them.As for your mass equation... it doesn't work. Even a little. Even though you get an answer, it is the result of a misapplication of an incorrect formula. Gausse's law DOES work here for calculating the density of the MC earth, which you would then multiply by it's volume (easily determinable to get it's mass). I was showing that something is OBVIOUSLY going on that we can't see, since the density is so much greater than what we observe. That is how science works... not random application of formulas.
