I was hardcore. I had Kirby and the Amazing Mirror but my gameboy stopped saving games (It just broke). I completed the whole of that Kirby game in 1 run, leaving my gameboy on for like 3 days in a row.

If the game broke all you need to do is take it apart and re-place that little battery at the back.  It should work straight away.  If its the gameboy itself i'm not too sure about that.

Very stable. As long as you don't do something stupid like put an i7 in a box with a default Intel heat sync and overclock it then you're fine.

You can pirate the games!
Can upgrade the hardware
More graphics power (more polygons and a sharper image)
1080p by default. Graphics card of course can usually support twice the size if you have multiple monitors
