Very stable. As long as you don't do something stupid like put an i7 in a box with a default Intel heat sync and overclock it then you're fine.

More graphics power (more polygons and a sharper image)
1080p by default. Graphics card of course can usually support twice the size if you have multiple monitors

I can tell you that the xbox does NOT get the red ring of death anymore.
As for paying for online play, you get other things as well, like Zune. It lets you listen to unlimited songs as you want, if you pay for it, and that sir is a pretty good deal. It's not like you're pirating the music.

If it was between Xbox and PS3, it would be Xbox. On tip of the cool stuff, it is way more secure. Never been hacked and each update, ALL updates add another 10 firewalls.

I was hardcore. I had Kirby and the Amazing Mirror but my gameboy stopped saving games (It just broke). I completed the whole of that Kirby game in 1 run, leaving my gameboy on for like 3 days in a row.
