Are we allowed to craft, place, and activate TNT to be thrown upwards? (Escape pods, boosters)

You can craft TNT with minecart, and even activate it, but it does no damage to the environment or structures.

Even if you have placed TnT now in the server and activate it , it won't cause damage at all

There's only 1 way to find out.

I've only done it once and I only did it as I was curious about whether it worked or not, as I crafted a TNT not knowing we couldn't actually place them.

it primes then disappears.

     Oh I see. So we can make, lace, and activate. But it doesnt do anything when it blows up I guess.
