How can I update my game to 1.6.2 or whatever it is now?

To Update to 1.6.2

• Get your Minecraft Launcher Running
  
• Click on 'New Profile' or 'Edit Profile'
• Click on 'Use Version:'
• Click on either 'release 1.6.2' or 'Use Latest Version' (Either works, I would reccomend 'release 1.6.2' because Opticraft will not allways update immediately)
  
• Click 'Save Profile' on the bottom right of the window
• Done!

You need to download the new launcher first

After downloading the new launcher at mojang.com(you will find the link in the old launcher) you do what CpuGameLPer said-

- They made a new (work in progress) launcher which you need to play any 1.6+ updates. Click here.
- It used to do that on the old launcher, on the one it will automatically update unless you select it not to (you can downgrade whenever).
- Don't be confused.
- Once you get the new lancher follow this topic.
- What green bar?... the experience bar?
