Recording software?

Waddup waddup.

I recently bought LA Noire and a few other titles on my laptop that I wouldnt mind doing commentaries/lets plays on, and I'ld like to know if any of you have experience with recording software. I'm fairly certain that the Laptop will be able to handle it and I already havve a mic and camera as well as ediing software (MAGIX). Looking to get anywhere from a stable 40+ FPS, and for it to be cheap or free if possible. I dont feel like Torrenting anything since I just got the laptop last month.

Please leave me some suggestions

If your PC can handle it, use Fraps. The only people usually complaining about it are the people who can't run it. If not, I hear things like Bandicam can do the trick as well.

I use fraps personally. When you go to record, I would advise you to drop your game settings since any recording software takes a pretty big performance hit.

Camtasia with a cracked serial is good. Fraps records huge videos if you don't compress them. Like a three minute long video will be a gig.

If your video card is an nvidia, use shadowplay. If it's not, I'd recommend dxtory, when I use it, it makes my frames drop by 2 and I've configured it so the video files take up hardly any hard drive space. Fraps makes 10GB files for 30 seconds of footage and it kills your performance so I wouldn't recommend using that. Plus, fraps is over rated.

If you have an AMD video card and are willing to spend ~$6, I'd recommend following this guide here. (Use bluesky video capture, not uscreencapture)
P.S. The bluesky video capture can record 30 fps for 1 hour and only make a 10GB file VS. frap's 30 second 10 GB file.

I have, but seeing as moses does not have a desktop gpu, he will not be able to use it as it does not support notebook gpus.

I never knew that... Darn. Just don't use fraps, the video sizes are way too large. Considering you have a notebook, you probably have around a 500GB HD and that'll get filled up way too fast with fraps.
