Same dimensions as the other events, you do not have to use all the plot. The size will be best reflecting the scale of metropolis if you'd like it featured in the world. Don't use the full height if I were you.

Is everyone judging the event using the same texture pack and shaders?  The screen shots Nick posted of Metropolis looks way better than what I see.... without any texture packs or shaders.

You could get a texture pack or shader to make any build look good. It's best to just use default, otherwise no one will agree upon a texture pack or shader.
