Greetings,
I would like to use this post to officially request to adjust the in-game market price for quartz. A second option would be to adjust the quantity of quartz received for the current in-game market price.
To date, the market cost to purchase 16 pieces of quartz is $500 (in-game currency).
I suggest we change the price to $125 for said sixteen pieces of quartz OR change the quantity of quartz received for $500 from 16 to 64.
Why? My reasons are as follows:
1). Quartz is difficult to find in the nether world, even more so given the number of people that have played on this server over the years
2). When found, with a Fortune III enchanted pick axe, I have been lucky to average 2 pieces of quartz obtained per block of quartz found
3a). At current market prices and quantity received, to obtain a single chest of quartz block stacks (27 stacks at 64 blocks per stack = 1728 individual blocks), it costs $216,000.
3b). Keep in mind that it requires 4 stacks of quartz to make 1 stack of quartz block
4). 27 stacks of any one item does not cover much space during in-game use , especially when when a player desires to use a specific block for many things
5a). Apart from consistent donating, which everyone may not have the budget for, the only way to obtain a decent monthly income of in-game money is to be top voter, respectively, which arguably, can be spent much faster than it is earned, especially when the only way to obtain a rare item is to purchase it from the market.
5b). For example, I have been fortunate to save $600,000 from being top voter across multiple months. However, I have had to spend upwards of $410,000 of that money to obtain 1 double chest full of chiseled quartz block stacks. (NOTE: I combined the quartz I purchased with the quartz I have found)
While I would like to suggest that the market price of $500 for 16 pieces of quartz be change to $500 for 1 stack of quartz block, I like to think my suggestion above is a good place to start.
Healthy Regards,
