Stupid, yes.  
Ambitious, yes.  
Will I come remotely close to finishing? Who knows
I'm working on this in builder so hopefully an op will help me move it if I run out of space. (which is almost guarenteed considering the scale)

I was talking about the Duomo in Florence, the dome itself was a architectural marvel at the time due to shear size <- that is my favorite building

This is still a very nice and complicated, ill be watching the progress since i am right next door

Well its Minecraft!  I actually think it'll be easier because I dont have to focus entirely on the extremely intricate detail.  Don't get me wrong, I'll still represent them some way but I'm focusing more on the structure rather than details.

I've taken a rough estimate and im gonna need about 180x180x180 space (maybe even more cuz the photos im looking at have major perspective distortion)  Does anyone know any worlds that I could request it moved to where it'd fit?  I'm trying to avoid the art world cuz I dont wanna cover anyone's stuff....

Get a 3d model. They're much easier to work off of.

I would if I could but since I dont have my personal laptop, (I'm using my college's library computers to work on this) so its impossible for me to install the required software to view those 3d models....oh well

ah... Does google sketchup not have it?

Yeah it does.  I downloaded a 3d model of the building (i think it has a .skp format)
But I also have to download and install Google Sketchup onto the computer I'm using (which is a library computer and I dont have administrative power to install it)  If there is a way for me to view the model online without having to install the Sketchup software let me know.
