What does hamachi actually do?

just bypasses the security on the ports because its a totally different network.

saves port-forwarding, but always lags

Well hamachi might brick ur laptop i had to format mine :/
While using hamachi make sure ur fire wall and anti virus running and dont give the full access to it....
