Mini Modding

There has been some confusion about the rule of mini modding.

Do Not Mini-Moderate. Mini modding is when you see a thread, or a persons post, that you do not like, and say "You can't do that, stop it now, or a mod will get you," or "This post belongs to the -soandso- thread." Do not say things like "lock it" or "this already exists" either. Moderators are perfectly capable of their job, and do not need any of the forum member's help. If you see a problem, just ignore it, and a Moderator will soon be there to fix it.

This is what the rule of mini modding says. My problem is that I have seen many builders and recruits try to be helpful, such as letting somebody know they have to be a recruit before applying for builder, being threatened with a ban if they continue this.
Is that really what this rule is about?
I understand that if somebody wrote something along the lines above it could have a negative influence, but being helpful just makes an op's task easier. It's one less message we have to type "You have to be recruit before builder," (That was just an example).

Can we make the rules clearer, either by writing that they cannot give advice, or they can?

It is not just you, don't delete them, but I would like a revision of that rule. It is not clear.

the only thing about mine modding is I sure hope people can mini mod about griefing.

Rule is pretty much unnecessary in my opinion. If someone is getting annoying because he is sticking his nose everywhere, just tell him to stop.

Most of the time people are just being helpful and getting threatened with sanctions because of that. I do believe it is only a positive thing that the people in Opticraft community help each other out themselves without any Operator intervention.

If you decide to not remove the rule, then make a CLEAR line between being helpful and mini moderating so that people do not get confused.

As far as I am concerned, you did not mini mod. That is why this issue needs to be addressed so that the difference between being helpful and mini modding becomes clear. You're not the only reason this thread was created.

As far as im aware there is no mini-modding rule. Only rules in /rules and the rules topic original post are official rules. Relkeb or mort please correct or confirm this.
