Yep. We'll see what morten or Relkeb say about it. Personally i do not like it for ingame, people take it to the extreme where being helpful to others is considered mini-modding - which its not.

And mini modding is only for forums... Right?

I never actually quite understood why paul even wrote a rule in the first place.

There is no mini-modding rule... nor is there a "backseat" modding rule. That being said, don't feel as though you can go around and do the work of a moderator.

If you think someone is acting like a mod, simply tell them politely to stop, or tell an admin.

So there we go. Thanks Relkeb :) It seems that operators from now on should not throw the (Now non-existant) Mini-modding rule at helpful players.
Topic sorted.

Thats the problem though. A lot of the time builders and recruit are not helpful when  they 'mini mod'

Then you simply tell them politely to refrain from doing so.

As far as I am concerned, the only application to the Mini-modding rule is here on the forums, NOT on the server

Hope this cleared up some confusion.

But yes. Paul added that rule some time ago in the server rules (or whatever) thread.

Yeah, thats what the topic was about. Relkeb has confirmed there is NO MINI-MODDING RULE so don't go telling builders off anymore ;)

As it has been almost 4 months since the last relpy, the admins had declared that (for quite some time now) there is no Mini-modding rule.

If someone is not being polite or helpful or just doesn't know what they're doing, you may tell them politely to refrain from replying to the thread, but please note that we should not be telling people off for helping others with just trying to navigate around the forums and/ or the server.

The ban appeals has its own rules to follow with regards to whom can post and for what reason (in that case, for appealing a user's ban-- not as discussion, argument, or off-topic threads --- and not to mention players who are not directly connected to a player's ban).

In any case, the Mini-modding rule is only treated as a suggestion, as far as the admins are concerned. The mods and admins are perfectly capable of carrying out their duties (which is common-sense), but any help from experienced players will be greatly appreciated as long as it is tasteful and knowledgeable.
