Computer help (choosing a computer)
« on: August 03, 2011, 12:50:23 am »
I was looking for a computer online for my wife, and I came across one that looked good for her.

http://www.buy.com/prod/dell-optiplex-gx620-desktop-2-8ghz-2g-ram-400gb-hdd-dvd-rw-xp-pro/q/loc/101/220736283.html

Someone take a look, and tell me
  • Can it run small games (like minecraft) well?
  • How fast would it be

Or, if you want, you can post a link to another one around the 160-200 range thats good for that kind of stuff.

Well speaking in terms of minecraft this wont be able to run it without any fog, u actually might have to have quite a bit of fog.

It is going to be really hard to find a computer to run MC well in the price range since you are most likely only going to be getting single core CPU's and we all know that MC is a cpu hog.

Do you have a price range? at all? It would help us to look for some computers.

Heh, if you realized I thought you might have been talking about something else without the $ Sign on the post because 160-200 is EXTREMELY low.
