try a wired connection not WLAN if nthn happens then tryit on another pc or formate ur pc ( re-install windows and thats the best solution)
or it might be with ur internet :-/
try reseting ur routers settings :/

Reinstall windows? Nah, don't do it that. You could try it in the browser, I got that problem from my client and I tried it in the browser and I havent had a problem since.

it seems to be a common problem at minecraft,there are some tutorials on youtube on

umm just asking, but do you happen to be torrenting at the time?
also, how is your internet speed? that could be the problem.
it sounds like its trying to download the world, but its taking too long so minecraft presumes something is wrong.

Yeah... I already posted this on the server topic of opening the beta server, but it looks like no one took seriously what I said and ignored it.

So here's my problem -

I'm having a problem getting on the server.

I try to get on, and it shows me "Downloading Terrain", so I wait.
After a few minutes or so it shows me "Connection Lost
                                                     Timed out"
I tried a few times, but it shows me the same thing.

Anyone help?

this happens to me too but it says java connection time out etc etc  i had to try 5 more times before went in

I fixed it.

Kind of dumb, but the only way I can join is through the minecraft.net, I cannot play online through the Minecraft that I downloaded.
