Tnt
« on: September 05, 2011, 09:36:41 am »
I'm pretty sure that this suggestion would get shot down very soon, but I would like to suggest allowing Tnt to be used. Many people are afraid that griefers would use it to grief, but I intend to use Tnt to mine. If the problem of griefers still poses a problem, I suggest that Tnt usage be limited to trusted players(default players who are trusted on classic).. Maybe a  special rank for that?

TNT leaves ugly holes in the ground. I wouldn't allow it if I were them, but I'm not them.

Still, people would use it wrongly. It's just too destructive.

Im sorry but this most likely wont happen. An accident could result in a terrible disaster. Its up to the admins to decide!

Its like, when you are joking around with TNT, like threatening your mate, but without powering the TNT, then there is redstone under it... Ya...

If this was enabled to an rank that has let's say builder or crafter level trust placed in them, I'm all for it. People who are able to reach those ranks should know how to use TNT correctly.

Even if TNT is allowed for guests it wouldn't destroy any blocks due to our creeper plugin. I guess they share the same characteristics and when optical installed the plugin to stop creepers from blowing stuff up the tnt did the same.

Why? If it won't blow up what's the point of having it?

Exactly, the only reason would be to kill other players.

Bmwgt3, this is survival. But yea, a nice deco! Maybe add a plugin that only allows tnt explosion to affect blocks? And I will stick with th rank idea..
Will it be good if a certain rank could use lava too? (A super  high rank) :P

Well we dont have a plugin that disables tnt, the plugin that disables creepers from destroying blocks is also effecting the tnt.
