Opticraft: Best Builds of 2011

This server has been around for about a year now and we have some truly epic builds scattered about in various worlds. Over the next two months I'll be digging through every single world and documenting the best creations. A few weeks before New Year's Eve, these will be sorted by rank and a poll will be created for each group. On New Year's Day the polls will close and the BEST BUILDS OF 2011 WILL BE ANNOUNCED!

This can be done with just screenshots on a forum post, but I would really like to put a copy of these builds into new showcase-type worlds. If we can get BestOfMember, BestOfRecruit, and BestOfBuilder created as 512x512x196 worlds, that should be plenty of space to cram in all the epic building that's gone on this year. After winners are decided, I'll build little trophies next to the winning builds

(Guest builds won't be considered because there will be 400 Guest worlds by then. Crafter builds won't be considered because there just aren't enough of them and it's pretty obvious the Statue of Liberty will win)

I imagine it would be around 50-100 builds total. Probably 20-30 hours of work total. Not really all that bad spread over 2 months.

Well i hope you can succeed at this probably long long task... i hope one of my builds gets chosen too but yeah nothing is sure  oke so good luck!

IDEA: Have a world called BestBuilds or something.
Then have many boxes with titles (Builder5 for example) and put the best build of builder 5 in it. Only problem is if you pick massive builds :/

That kinda goes against the intent of this. I want the builds to be noticed entirely on their own quality, not the world they happen to be from.

Can crafters create new worlds?

No, only admins and optical can create new worlds.

The best by rank. I'll look at all builds from all Member worlds and pull the best. Doesn't matter which particular Member world they're from. The idea is to get all the great builds in one spot. No particular quota either, just going to fill the worlds up until they're full.
