The tower itself is 159x155x828. Plus the surroundings it's 411x393x832. The big world would be (optimised) 416x400x832 ~ 132mb. (...) As for the proposed limit of 80mb, a world of 320x320x832 is just over 81mb.
We never intended to do it that big, because it would have loads of unused space at the top. Quote from: Mr.Monkey on January 13, 2012, 12:32:54 amThe tower itself is 159x155x828. Hi,I tried out a 512x512x1024 map locally today, and the miencraft client simply cannot cope with it. It is too large. It consumes 256mb of memory, which the client cannot handle. You'll have to reconsider this project I think.
even 320x320x832 is not loading on wom for me :/
Seems to load up fine for me :\http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zgIMSnw9rbQ(The lagg is from the recording, not actually present in WoM)Although it does use a huge amount of memory lol:Probably wouldn't be a good idea to make it the lobby if it ever gets completed
Holy balls.

For example, for this project a world that is wide at bottom and gets thinner at top.
