Protection stone price adjustments
« on: January 21, 2012, 08:29:37 am »
Hi,

We have adjusted the prices of protection stones in game, as we felt coal and lapis were too expensive.

Coal is now $2,000 and Lapis is $14,000

Diamond has had a slight reduction at $98,000.

Let us know what you think.

Diamond has the highest value for money, when it comes to volume per $

I'd be in agreement with the prices (I would agree that the diamond protection is a little overpriced, but as optical had said, supply and demand)

Diamond is more or the less a good price

I love the changes on the other two blocks though

Just throwing this out there but why would i buy a lapis when i could protect more if i just kept buying coal i would end up protecting more so is there a limit?

That was my first thought. But apparently, diamond is just about $2000 cheaper.

Unless you buy the diamond protection, which i have, you DONT understand how much space it is.

I think this is for the better :)

As long as mods can remove them or ops (if they are online enough) I don't see why lower prices is that bad.

Ok, here is how the prices were set up. It takes 8 of the previous ore to make the current one, ex. it takes 8 coal to equal 1 lapis. But we thought we would give players a discount and only multiplied them by 7 instead of 8. So the prices are proportional.

But Coal is probably the best as it gives you more control. If I have a building that isn't a square, coal is better as I can place it in the shape I want.

Yes, use /ps to view the list of commands for the stones.
