Not an English school, but the grammar & apparently math, was based on the English system, You know... maybe it was the Arabic version that they taught us, not sure.

This thing, It's so strict maybe even worse than the army, most people (Including myself) Left the school for another one because of the amount of stress it creates... Also i recall it's banned from some countries because it's curriculum is too inhumane.

I'm English, I did 12 full years at 6 different English schools(12 years all together im not 72years old>.>). and they all taught me that the smaller number as at the thinner end of the '<' or '>' . eg... 10>5 . Ten is BIGGER than 5.
