Slimeballs in the Market - REQUEST

Forgive me if this has already been discussed but there have been many occasions where players need many slimeballs but either no-one has any for sale or there just seems to be 1 person who has like maybe one stack?

I feel that adding slimeballs to the market would definitely be a plus for this server because I don't know if its just me but slimes are pretty hard to find (I'm not sure if slime spawners exist).  The only thing I know slimeballs are used for are sticky pistons which I know a few people including myself would love to make alot of.

Some items are not sold at the market to keep them rare, obsidian and slime balls are an example.

There are quite a few people that have utilized slime chunks and turned them into Slime Farms. Nyssa (dedlymagik) has one in her city, so if you do ask her kindly I think she'll let you use it briefly

With that said, I do agree with xDeeKay that slimes should remain rare, as they have no specific spot or spawner to spawn from except in the right conditions

Hmmm obsidian in my opinion is relatively easy to get compared to slimeballs(unless you're member- ) however I see your logic behind it.

Thats probably why some people without "proper connections" (i.e. know someone who has some spare slimeballs or the know-how to find them solo) will never get them.  But I understand why everyone shouldn't just right off the bat be allowed access to slimeballs.  Maybe it could be sold only to trusted+ because I know alot of large-scale projects (including my tower) could benefit from this.  I guess until then I'll bother Nyssa  

Oh and I know Notch probably intended for sticky pistons to be difficult to come by but if it can be changed I say let it

Looking at this situation based soley on the use of slimeballs, I feel they shouldn't be so rare because their utility is just for one simple function (sticky pistons) which in my opinion has less value than diamonds.  I could understand why diamonds, obsidian, blaze rods, enderpearls and things of that nature should be rare because they have multiple powerful purposes and allow access to entirely new worlds while sticky pistons is purely for advantageous machines like melon farms or secret passages.
 
I guess for now this is something people will just have to work for but I'd still like to see a better way of obtaining them in the future.

I just checked, and someone has sold half our slimeballs 0_0 I only have a stack left.
Anyway, I shall reforge a slimefarm, and get some more for you.

Slime balls are also used as an ingredient for magma cream

Which is used in brewing the Potion of Fire Resistance, so slimeballs have more than one use in this case.
