As the rules state there are no mods allowed on opticraft unless its Optifine, or zombe mod which is for Mods+

I think what he means is adding mods to the server itself (something along the lines of plugins)

I think when it comes to adding mods to the server itself it can cause some minor ramifications in the form of errors as well as costing quite a bit of bandwidth-- which in turn translates to more lag.

Once again, we are a survival server, not an RPG.

Yes, as Salas said. We want to hide in wooden huts on this server, not to kill trolls. that would be to rpgish

actually i wouldnt mind something like mcMMO..
it would give some purpose to meaningless tasks, and being able to progress and gain
something from playing seems appealing to me too.. :)

I was thinking that while this is awesome server, and has been made so by the staff and players, it is still vanilla. I wish there was something to spice it up a bit. Mining alone gets boring after a while.  :'(

I heard of this mod where you can turn 4 sticks into 2 wooden planks and less leather into a saddle.

i think the Zeppelin mod would be awesome, it could be like a bus system and be an easier way to get around.

We all say the same thing. Mods are not allowed. Why is this topic not locked yet?

Locked. This topic has no point. We do not allow any mods except Optifine.

I think what he means is adding mods to the server itself (something along the lines of plugins)

Again, this is not for client-side mods-- this is for server-side mods/ plugins (stuff added to the server that affects all players)

But yes, we haven't decided on what mods or plugins to add in at this point
