We can all agree that sopa and pipa are bad. And for random posts this is in the top 10.

wow  :o

It's a pretty smart idea, considering the only reason companies complain about 'piracy' is because they need to suck more money out of our pockets (they make enough money with those who go to movie theaters or buy the DVDS legally). Damaging their profits would probably make a pretty big difference. However, I cannot imagine anyone being able to stay away from going to movie theaters or buying a book/magazine. In my opinion, this month-long march has the potential to fail. I guess you could buy all your DVDs, books and games before March 1st and use them during the month (since they are already bought).

hmm....this is quite interesting  :)

P.S. Would libraries be affected as well? like checking out books and movies? I assume not since it has already been paid for.

Sadly, my parents decided to see a movie today. But, they haven't seen this. And I can't show them because I would
get in trouble with my dad for being on a forum.

It hasn't happened yet, t3dd. So you can still go to the movies until march 1st (if you are actually willing to participate in the movement). Plus you could attempt to find it online on some other site and show your dad this picture. It doesn't really matter though.

Ok. Should I just go on hiatus on the computer and forums starting 3/1 and go on again on 3/31? BTW, 3/31 is my birthday. American.

This is not about boycotting or crashing the entertainment business, this is about raising awareness that people are opposed to internet censorship.

It will have a rather small impact, and hopefully it would catch the attention of the US government.
On the other hand, It wouldn't hurt.
