Flint and steel
« on: February 26, 2012, 01:22:55 pm »
So, I came on a few minutes ago and a guest asked: "Kian, Why doesn't my flint and steel work?" And I said "I don't really know" So I tried it and mine won't work either.

Help....

EDIT: All it does is light then about a second later go out. (I tried it on netherack and it just went out.)

flint and steal does not work because fire is disabled a.k.a so is flint and steal. If you would like fire you are going to have to ash an mod+

Wrong. Flint and Steel only works for Operators+. Mods can use fire blocks to make fire, but for other players they are forbidden to use.

What's the point of being able to make it then?

Kian, it is disabled to prevent people to go set everything on fire, which is very fun to do.

That's why.

Also, another thing I should mention is that operators also cannot use flint and steel, something preventing the permissions thing I believe.

Wait.......so if ops can't use flint and steel......
Then i could be because flint and steel is used in some kind of plugin.
Like how string is used to define worldguard regions and compasses are used to teleport in Worldedit.
probably flint and steel could be for something like that.
