Xray bans are very long if not permanent. Also, x-ray traps wouldn't really work but we do have grief traps on SMP.

I was thinking something like that... just a fake chest under a lot of nothing deep underground...nothing but x-ray could lead you there and if you click BOOM!

If you put in the deep and with only dirt around its almost impossible i guess. By the way in case of ban appeal it will be easy to check the tunnel that led the "unfortunate" player there.
