So? There is basically no difference in classic, in smp T9K is slightly more community orientated, but that is about it.

It's not like they came up with the like/dislike idea in the first place.
even minecraftforum.net has 'like' buttons. It's honestly not "copying", its a widely used feature in many social areas (forums, social networks, photo sites, news sites,etc).
I'm not sure why it is widely used, it is a pretty dumb feature imo.
Sometimes it really is just a dumb feature. It all depends on the site. On youtube, the like/dislike bar warns us if it's a troll, spammy video or a normal, popular video, so its pretty useful. Anywhere else, it just shows your appreciation for the helpfulness or for the addressing of a topic. We could implement it, but it's more or less a decoration, so it doesn't really matter.
