Ah my friend, this is a problem many players deal with, including me. I, have a temporary work-around, though.
I can however inform you of a very generous donator, who has been handing out gift codes since September 2011. Recently, he had a little set back because Mojang released a bunch of new policies ("you can only buy 5 gift codes per account", "paypal no longer an option for buying codes", etc.). He keeps track of all those that need a code through a list, which can only be maxed out at exactly 790 people. Once the list is full, he won't accept any other requests to be on the list until another spot is open. Anyways, at the moment, the list is full at the moment but keep your eye on the donation thread. To access the thread, just click on my second banner.
